The opportunity:

    • It is an exciting time of transformation in the Financial Services Industry given the push for these organisations to become more digital, to become more efficient and to ensure they are operating in line with new regulations.
    • We are looking for new team members from Senior Advisor to Manager level to provide practical support and solutions to our clients. 
    • We're keen to hear from you if you have experience in a banking or other financial services environment and are looking to gain new skills and build on the strengths you already have, whilst working in a fast paced and energetic environment.

Day to day you will:

    • Provide clear and accurate advice to our financial services clients to support them as they navigate through this time of disruption
    • Be comfortable working at pace with a high attention to detail across multiple projects at once
    • Build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of your work, expertise and judgement as well as innovative approaches
    • Develop your capabilities and ideas into solutions to make a difference to our clients and the lives of New Zealanders
    • Influence and build long-term, trust-based relationships with our clients
    • Contribute to the successful delivery of KPMG services, undertake business development such as proposal writing and contributing to the development of KPMG's services through knowledge management and methodology design

What you'll bring to the team:

    • A strong understanding of how different areas of a bank operates and be able to demonstrate where you have made a tangible contribution to an improvement or process in a bank's performance
    • Familiarity with bank products, legislation or regulation is an added bonus
    • Consulting experience is desired but not essential
    • A tertiary qualification in a relevant area is desired but not essential
    • A demonstrable track record of building lasting client relationships, winning new business and developing existing business
    • The ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and have the confidence to solve problems and to fill gaps in knowledge by questioning, collaborating with others and researching technical and contractual documentation
