This position is within Financial Risk Management team that provide financial risk management and regulatory advisory services to a wide range of New Zealand businesses.

The opportunity:

    • The Senior Manager works as a member of a professional services team, providing services to meet a range of client service requirements.  The role will support the senior Financial Risk Leadership Team in supporting the increased growth of modelling engagements provided to financial services organisations.
    • The role is accountable to the Partners and Directors for the provision of high quality services of specialist expertise to meet client needs.

Day to day you will:

    • Manage client portfolios on large engagements, including engagements that are increasingly complex in nature with some multi-disciplinary elements.
    • Supporting delivery teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
    • Drafting scope of work, reports and supporting other team members to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Engage with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities to drive business solutions using data, models or other innovations.
    • Demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to identify and seize opportunities to enhance revenue.
    • Facilitate client relationship support, including opportunity management, pursuit planning and coordinating across diverse teams to engage the right people to get the job done.
    • Identify and proactively respond to new business opportunities including cross-functional opportunities to provide added value to clients.
    • A positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace growth opportunities to gain experience.

What you'll bring to the team:

    • 7+ years of relevant advisory/consulting experience preferred, or experience gained in a financial services institution.
    • Relevant qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field, or business analysis or development skills where you’ve demonstrated the ability to translate the complex into practical language and solutions.
    • Experience in managing and delivering analytics or modelling engagements/initiatives.
    • Experience in building models, or model validation, peer review of models, development of challenger models or technical challenge of existing models.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions, including excellent visual communication skills, report writing and proposal development.
    • Demonstrated ability in business development including being able to market self and attract new clients to the firm.
