The opportunity:

    • This senior role will work closely with colleagues to deliver team goals, with a core focus on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainability issues.
    • This role will help provide strategic and operational leadership and grow the firm’s climate change related business by building relationships and promoting the services of KPMG as a whole.

Day to day you will:

    • Lead client projects and manage day to day client relationships including; structuring engagements and work plans, client engagement, overseeing junior team members and taking responsibility for project team leadership and direction, budget management and deliverables
    • Coach and mentor junior team members
    • Produce high quality analysis that combines KPMG expertise and market insight with quantitative and qualitative analytics
    • Develop national and international KPMG contacts in order to deliver quality services and contribute to growing service offerings of the Sustainable Value team
    • Maintain knowledge of national and global climate change and climate-related issues, especially with regards to how they affect New Zealand and key New Zealand industries

What you'll bring to our team:

    • 10+ years of relevant practical advisory experience
    • Demonstrated ability in strategic business development and advisory services - relevant management consulting or Big 4 experience an advantage
    • Have a passion and interest in climate change and sustainability
    • Oral and written communication is a key strength along with planning, project management, relationship building, networking and influencing skills
    • Experience managing a broad range of people (at different levels), from across service lines both inside and outside of your area of technical expertise
    • Relevant tertiary qualification
