Manager/Assistant Manager - Forensic

The opportunity:

    • Our Forensic team is looking for an Assistant Manager or Manager to join them
    • This role has a blend of accounting and investigative skills where you'll be asked to advise on complex, time sensitive matters
    • You'll be exposed to a variety of engagements and get the chance to collaborate with different teams and sectors across our Advisory division and the broader firm

Day to day you will:

    • Investigate financial discrepancies and inaccuracies such as fraudulent activity, financial misrepresentation or misconduct and disputes
    • Quantify loss of profit and business valuations in a wide range of circumstances including shareholder disputes and relationship property matters
    • Prepare high quality reports and documents used by management, boards, legal advisors and sometimes in legal proceedings
    • Interpret and analyse company accounts and financial information
    • Identify and proactively respond to new business opportunities including cross-functional opportunities to provide added value to clients
    • Coach and mentor junior team members

What you'll bring to our team:

    • Be a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or relevant overseas professional body
    • Experience in a Consulting/Professional Services environment is preferred
    • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and an ability to challenge data and information provided
    • Proven ability to work through ambiguity and changing priorities and demands
    • Strong relationship building skills with clients and with members of the project team 
    • An ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, client-facing team
    • Prior experience in investigations and/or a corporate finance role is desirable but not essential
