THE ROLE: As the Senior Technical Video Product Manager at DAZN, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and improving our video playback technology and have product management responsibility for Headend Services including encoding, multiplexing, packaging and other content processing services. You will lead the charge in developing and implementing cutting-edge streaming solutions collaborating with cross-functional teams,you'll define the product roadmap and ensure the delivery of a seamless video experience to our users. Senior Product Manager will be market facing, customer focussed and with a growth mindset. The role will also require an ability to dive deep into detailed requirements and specifications to ensure development, delivery, operations and other business functions are positioned to make products a success. The role is multi-faceted and critical giving an opportunity to influence the business and industry at a senior level.  AS OUR NEW (JOB TITLE) YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: ·         Product Strategy: Develop and execute a strategy for next-generation video playback experiences for live and VOD sports content, based on customer needs, technical advancements, and market trends. ·         Requirements Definition: Define product goals, KPIs, and requirements in an agile environment, prioritizing customer and business stakeholder needs to deliver maximum value. ·         Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Video Player Engineering, R&D, video architecture, broadcast, and operations teams to develop and deliver a cohesive product roadmap. ·         Agile Development: Create epics, user stories, wireframes, and test cases to guide architecture, development, and QA efforts. Manage the product backlog and prioritize tasks effectively. ·         Performance Analysis: Analyse product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for innovation and continuous improvement in video and audio playback. ·         Technical Expertise: Leverage your deep technical knowledge in streaming video playback, content encoding, latency, ad-tech integration principles and various streaming technologies to identify and debug issues across the E-2-E streaming supply chain. ·         Innovation and Optimisation: Drive innovation through A/B testing, user testing, and the implementation of new features that enhance user experiences on web, mobile, and living room platforms. ·         Collaborative & Ability to Influence: Work closely with technical leadership to shape the roadmap for advanced video playback experiences. ·         Cross-Platform Alignment: Partner with other product managers to ensure alignment of user experiences, enabling the delivery of cross-platform features and capabilities.   YOU’LL HAVE:·         Proven experience as a product owner in cross-functional product development processes. ·         Proven track record in leading the design and development of head-end and front-end applications particularly for streaming video players, across web, mobile and living room platforms. ·         Experience in developing products with usage-based cost and pricing models and modelling business cases to drive investment ·         Familiarity with adaptive streaming protocols (e.g., HLS, DASH) and their integration into front end applications.  ·         Knowledge of compression, multiplexing technologies, and Headend equipment integration. ·         Broad technical experience in streaming video playback, content encoding, DRM and streaming technologies. ·         Hands-on experience with low-latency live streaming and on-demand delivery across multiple devices, incorporating network optimization principles and ad-tech integrations. ·         Strong command of agile development processes, A/B testing, and user testing. ·         Excellent product management, coordination, and analytical skills. ·         Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively. ·         Strong relationship management and collaboration skills. At DAZN, we bring ambition to life.
