MPG is a 10-year-old company with a core focus of collectable trading cards for companies/brands such as Pokémon, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, and Upper Deck. MPG gas experienced exponential growth in the last three years and has multiple locations in Raleigh-Durham and one in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Job Title: Information Security Engineer

Job Summary: The Information Security Engineer is passionate about the detection and prevention of security threats, integrating security tools into daily operations, security architecture, and network and systems infrastructure. They will be responsible for operational security efforts as well as leading projects on behalf of the Information Security organization.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement Systems and Network Security initiatives to ensure continuous alignment with security standards and requirements across Infrastructure environments managed by TPCi.
  • Monitor industry trends around network and systems security to keep requirements and solutions in line with the threat landscape.
  • Define and oversee adherence with network security architecture standards for on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Define and drive implementation of network device, firewall, server, and workstation security configuration requirements.
  • Implement security solutions and capabilities to limit risks to the TPCi infrastructure.
  • Partner with IT to develop and implement corporate authentication platforms, including multi-factor authentication and privileged access management
  • Provide security expertise and consulting to partner teams in Tech and across the enterprise.
  • Alongside the Information Security team, responsible for responding to and remediating security events / incidents.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure successful completion of our roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Integrate security testing and controls into different phases of teams’ development lifecycles.
  • Utilize agile methodology by making iterative progress toward achieving individual, team, and organizational objectives.

What you’ll bring

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Information Security.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related technology functions, such as systems, network, or cloud engineering.
  • Experience with securing Windows and Linux systems
  • Experience with securing firewalls, routers, and other network devices
  • Experience with implementing authentication and access management solutions.
  • Up to date with security attacks and latest security research.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, ingenuity, and ability to work as part of a team
