The opportunity:

    • We have an opportunity available in our Technology Consulting practice, working closely with our Deals Advisory team to provider leadership on IT Due Diligence (IT DD) and Integration & Separation (I&S) activities, while also supporting other Technology Consulting engagements.
    • While your focus will be on Deals related opportunities, you will also (depending on demand) be working across one or more of our other key areas: Technology strategy, operating model design and implementation – helping clients understand and transform to leverage technology to deliver their strategic outcomes. Technology procurement – guiding clients through requirements development, market scans, procurement and business case development. Cloud Adoption & Transformation – unlocking the opportunities that Cloud technology provides to enable and accelerate our client’s success.
    • This is a senior role and a true growth opportunity to prove your technical capability and your ability to engage with clients, build and lead delivery teams and ensure quality outcomes within time and budget constraints. The successful candidate will take a lead role in broadening our existing IT Deals (IT DD & IT I&S) capability and team.
    • We are open to candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds - particularly consulting & architecture.

Day to day you will:

    • Lead the scoping, costing and delivery of engagements - primarily deals focused (ITDD and IT I&S) as well as other tech consulting service areas.
    • Assemble and manage teams to deliver high quality outcomes and develop more junior team members.
    • Work with the Technology Consulting and Deals Advisory teams to identify and pursue business development opportunities.
    • Develop scopes, proposals and engagement letters/contracts (with appropriate support) for relevant engagements.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for relevant technology areas across a broad range of clients and projects.
    • Act as part of the Technology Consulting leadership team - providing input on service strategy, hiring and other areas.
    • Apply your existing technical, commercial and business skills and experience to new challenges and experiences.
    • Take a hands-on approach to developing reports and documents, running workshops or conducting interviews. This is not a supervisory or pure management role.
    • Write reports and prepare client presentations of a high quality, providing insights with a customer focus.
    • Manage delivery of project budget, scope and timing.
    • Identify and manage implementation risks and issues as well as resolve conflict and address challenges in an implementation context.
    • Build the reputation of KPMG through the quality of your work, expertise and judgement as well as innovative approaches.
    • Be comfortable working at pace with a high attention to detail across multiple projects at once.

What you'll bring to the team:

    • Deals experience is a strong preference - but this role would suit candidates with a broad but deep understanding of technology in enterprise organisations, the impact and management of change as well as the commercial implications of technology activity (including estimation of costs).
    • Experience in a technology focused role relevant to one or more of our service offerings gained in a consulting role. This role is uniquely suited to applicants with a combination of technical architecture, commercial and business experience and requires a pragmatic mindset.
    • Previous delivery management experience gained in an internal implementation or consulting role.
    • A continuous learning mindset - there is a strong requirement to build and maintain robust consulting, technical and people skills on an ongoing bases.
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in a technology or business field, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience developing and costing projects and implementation approaches.
    • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and seize opportunities to enhance revenue.
    • A demonstrable track record of building lasting client relationships.
    • A positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and growth opportunities to gain experience.
    • Relevant Technology certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Google, AWS).
