Virtual Desktop Engineer (Citrix)

You will help mid-size and large customers to better plan, migrate, set up, administer and consume Virtual Desktop solutions across their enterprise. You will understand the customer’s business and technical needs by working as an extension of the customer’s IT team, gathering an in-depth knowledge of their business and being able to recommend solutions with relevant technologies. Primary Objectives

• Ensure high-quality delivery of the managed service from a technical perspective.
• Identify and drive technical/deployment improvements.
• Identify future issues and risks, propose, and drive corrective measures.
• Develop, improve, and partially implement processes for the managed service.
• Minimize customer risk.

Job Requirements

• Expert in the design and implementation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler, and Radius server.
• Expert in the implementation and support of Active directory domain services.
• Proficient in Windows server 2012, 2012R2, 2016, and 2019 OS platforms.
• Proficient in the configuration of Azure services like Compute, Network, Storage, NetApp, and AVD.
• Proficient in writing ARM / Bicep templates / Terraform code.
• Comfortable with Agile working methodologies and related tools (JIRA, Kanban, AzureDevOps).
• Proficient in automating routine activities with Azure functions, runbooks, and server-scheduled jobs written in PowerShell/python/bash, etc.
• Experience in implementation of CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps/Circle CI, etc. (nice to have).
• Experience in the implementation of Cisco DUO MFA application (nice to have).
• Experience in design and implementation of Microsoft 365/Azure AD with hybrid identity model (nice to have).

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure fulfillment of customer IT policies within each project.
• Ensure ongoing improvement.
• Implement IT systems as per laid design and strategy.
• Lead proof of concept efforts.
• Ability to understand from the customer’s perspective and be a trusted advisor.
• Be a technical ambassador between the customer’s Cloud Management Office and Rackspace PS service delivery.
• Closely cooperate with the Rackspace delivery/capability lead.
