Software Engineer - Full Stack

Since we launched in 2016, we have streamed more than 700+ million hours of content!  This role is for someone who has a passion for full-stack software engineering and would like to be part of a team that builds the tools to enable the curation of the experience seen by our millions of users around the globe.  The content editorial domain is one of the most crucial in DAZN, and Team 6 are responsible for creating the tools that bridge the gap between the fantastic sports content that DAZN has available and the experience our customers see.  A bit about your team Team 6 are primarily a JavaScript team developing and maintaining backend and frontend services. Our stack includes NodeJS, React, Docker, AWS (including Dynamo, OpenSearch, ECS and Lambda), and Terraform. We also do our own testing using Jest and Cypress.  As a full stack engineer we don't expect you to be well versed in all of these technologies, as we support continuous training and development with access to a range of resources and time set aside each week for this.  As part of the team, you would be working directly with our editorial users and our product team, using wireframing tools and/or fast prototyping to support rapid development through collaborative design using an agile approach.  We are a remote-first team with access to offices in Leeds and London. As our new Full Stack Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

    • Mentor and pair with other team members 
    • Build features collaboratively with our content editors and the product team 
    • Help shape the future direction of the tools we build 
    • Gather requirements and refine tickets 
    • Develop frontend and backend applications primarily using React and NodeJS 
    • Provision AWS infrastructure using Terraform 
    • Build and maintain automated tests using Cypress and Jest 
    • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions 
    • Present your work to stakeholders at regular product demos with the rest of the team 

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

    • A team mindset and can work easily with others 
    • An understanding of working with stakeholders to define requirements 
    • Comfortable working with React and NodeJS 
    • Experience with AWS services 
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines 

Even better if you have:

    • Experience developing a product end-to-end from idea to delivery 
    • Experience working in an agile delivery team 
    • Are comfortable working in a remote-first team
