We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Security Consultant for our Vancouver branch. In this role, you will utilize strong business and technical consulting skills to plan and drive the adoption of diverse technologies that solve security challenges while creating the desired outcomes for our clients.
A Day in the Life:
- Design, architect, and implement industry-leading security solutions by leveraging your savvy consulting skills, both in business and technical aspects, to understand client requirements
- Create comprehensive documentation, including conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
- Act as a subject matter expert to oversee projects from initiation through to successful implementation
- Collaborate with client and project teams to adopt a secure-by-design approach, ensuring that security measures are integrated from project inception to completion.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- Provide guidance and oversight to intermediate consultants on ongoing projects, reviewing work and ensuring quality deliverables.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in the architecture, design, and delivery of security solutions in several of the following areas:
- *Cloud (SaaS, IaaS, Orchestration)
- *Identity Access Management
- *Zero Trust Network Access
- *Audit log management and SIEM integration (Microsoft Sentinel)
- *Data Information Protection and Governance (Microsoft Purview, Netwrix)
- *Network security, including firewalls, perimeter security, and endpoint protection
- *Web Application Firewalls (Fortinet FortiWeb, Cloudflare, Azure Application Gateway)
- Incident Response Planning and Handling
- 5+ years of industry experience with multi-technology solutions and diverse business and technical consulting
- Broad knowledge of multiple hardware and software security technologies and strong experience in working with complex solutions comprising both
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, best practices, and relevant industry standards.
- Ability to consult on designs and create implementation plans
- Technical strength and capability of implementing Microsoft Defender suite
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS, etc for assessing systems and designs
- Articulate and proficient public speaking skills, with the ability to host and deliver presentations, workshops and architecture sessions with clients
- Familiarity with IT architecture principles and industry frameworks, and commitment to work within the approved Long View architecture methodologies
- Self-motivation and drive, always looking for ways to improve skills and stay relevant
- Post-Secondary Education
