WE'LL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• Significant experience with backend technologies (Java, Kotlin etc) and building large-scale modern web-software
• 12+ years of product design/development experience
• 5+ years of experience leading a high performing development teams and managing managers.
• Demonstrated experience of working and leading teams across geographies
• Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with scalability, availability, testing and performance requirements
• Real passion for learning and mentoring your team to evolve the engineering craft within your team
• Employee performance & growth management
• Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Working well within a multi-functional team, and a willingness to mentor developers via tech design reviews, code reviews, etc and can also collaborate effectively on ideas and designs with some of the best architects and developers in Atlassian

EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING IS PREFERRED:

• Passion for building highly available and large scale distributed systems
• Experience with microservices-based architectures
• Continuous delivery and deployment
• Background knowledge of Elastic Search or Lucene etc
• AWS
