Since we launched in 2016, we have streamed more than 600 million hours of content!DAZN Engineering is truly enterprise scale with hundreds of engineers working with some of the latest technologies and sharing ideas and best practices in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Location: Hammersmith, London, UK with flexibility to work from home and remotely  A BIT ABOUT YOUR TEAM: The Player Engineering domain is one of the most crucial parts of the DAZN stack. We build, own and support the frontend playback experience across customers’ devices at DAZN. We strive to deliver the best possible video experience across all devices (web, set-top boxes, TVs, games consoles, mobiles) regardless of network conditions. To do this we build everything from our own tooling and automation applications to test and evaluate devices to our own complex heuristics to ensure that we deliver the highest quality video streams to customers as often as possible based on their network conditions.  We obsess over data and use it to measure how we are performing against our customers’ and the business’ expectations, as well as using it to build our backlog and to inform where we should focus our development efforts. We value agile delivery practices and are continually evolving and reviewing our processes. Delivery teams are typically made up of around 5-8 Engineers, a Product Manager, Scrum Master and a Team Lead. Our teams are from various and diverse backgrounds and we welcome and encourage new perspectives and opinions openly. Whilst we welcome anyone with experience in the streaming or OTT industry, it is by no means a prerequisite to work on this team. Successful engineers are people who love to solve challenging problems and enjoy the opportunity to work on a variety of features and devices.  As a Scrum Master at DAZN, you will be responsible for supporting our Software Engineering teams, their leadership and the organisation to realise the value of the agile culture, frameworks, and tools. As our new Scrum Master, you'll have the opportunity to:

    • Train, coach, and mentor teams on agile principles, frameworks and tools.
    • Organise and facilitate team events, aiming at growing team capabilities to do it autonomously.
    • Effectively support multiple teams.
    • Work with the Agile Coaching Team and other stakeholders on developing the agile culture across the organisation.
    • Lead long-term and high-impact organisational changes, as scaling agile, OKRs, and data-driven decision making.
    • Ideate and facilitate sessions comprising multiple teams and stakeholders (goal-setting, kick-offs, post-mortem, town-halls)
    • Identify, communicate, and remove agility blockers within and across teams.
    • Work as a co-equal partner alongside the Product Manager and Engineering Manager to:
    • Ensure good hygiene of the product backlog and roadmap.
    • Ensure The team is working ever closer to continuous delivery at high quality.
    • Help the team improve their collaboration and delivery through metrics, experimentation and learning

You'll be set up for success if you have:

    • Worked as a dedicated Scrum Master or Agile Coach
    • Have used different agile frameworks and practices and can coach the team's adoption of the fittest
    • Can facilitate sessions with multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities and successfully help the group to achieve its goals
    • Exemplary emotional intelligence, you are resilient in the face of failures and conflicts and can keep the team focus and energy while moving forward
    • You work in teams for the teams, and everyone can feel your genuine intention to help them grow better as a team
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills with all seniority levels
    • Can support teams by owning a strategy to communicate and remove their impediments

Even better if you have:

    • Experience in implementing changes in large organizations 
    • Scrum or Kanban Certification 
    • Admin level familiarity with Jira and similar tools 
    • Skills in creating and delivering agile training 
    • Technical background and readiness to discuss process improvement with the development team 
    • Experience in scaling agile
