Project Manager - Cyber Security Assessments and Audits

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Project Manager – Cyber Security Assessments and Audits to join their team. The role is based between London and Corsham and travel to other sites, with some working from home. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2024 and offer a rate up to £415/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Overview of Role

There is a requirement to recruit a Project Manager who can help coordinate and implement Cyber defence tasks.

A Project Manager – Cyber Security Assessments and Audits is required to support on the Security Compliance Assessments project, contributing to a reduction in cyber risk exposure by undertaking compliance assessments, identifying and driving improvement actions.

You will need a strong ability to work collaboratively, and it is essential that you possess effective stakeholder skills, have problem solving ability and a good knowledge of agile delivery methods. Positive and effective communication skills are critical - especially as you will be required to engage with Senior Staff.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Project reporting on Audit Progress
  • Audit Planning
  • Internal and external Supplier Engagement for Audit arrangements
  • Resource planning and allocation for Audits
  • Assessing Audits and identifying trend analysis

Essential Skills and Experience in:

  • Experienced in project management
  • Takes full responsibility for the definition management and satisfactory completion of medium complexity projects..
  • Provides clear direction and leadership to the project team.
  • Creates and manages relevant project artefacts (e.g. WBS, schedule etc.).
  • Monitors costs, times, quality and resources used and takes action where required.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and specialists to get the information required for feasibility assessment.
  • Prepares commitment cases, including cost/benefit, impact and risk analysis for each option.
  • A willingness to push the boundaries of the organisation and find new innovative applications and solutions. An ability to communicate this within the client and demonstrate the value proposition and lead them in doing it.
  • Ensures that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately communicated.
  • Monitors progress against business objectives specified in the business case. Proactively manages risks in the contract.
  • Identifies where change is required and plans for variations. Ensures, in consultation with stakeholders, that change management is implemented appropriately.
  • Supports resolution of supplier-related incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance.
  • Defines and manages requirements definition and prioritisation activities for complex change initiatives.
  • Prioritises requirements and documents traceability to source
  • Management of all programme, theme and project level reporting requirements.
  • Management of change control process
  • Management of Learning for Experience process
  • Management of onboarding/ offboarding process

Desirable Skills and Experience in:

  • Cyber security experience
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Experience of working in an enterprise organisation in some part of vulnerability management.
  • Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies.
  • Security Vulnerability Research
  • Uses available resources to update knowledge of relevant specialism.
  • Contributes to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
  • Assists with the compilation of portfolio, programme and project management reports to support the overall CRP reporting.
  • Maintains programme and project files from supplied actual and forecast data.
  • Plans, manages and investigates business analysis where there is significant ambiguity and complexity.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
