Our technology addresses the key cost drivers for workers’ compensation, general liability, and property damage, which cost employers over $500 billion annually.We’re looking for a Platform Security Engineer to oversee our cloud platform's design, implementation, and maintenance. This role will be crucial in developing a sustainable framework around security that also scales well as we quickly grow to serve thousands of warehouses and customers. Successful candidates have experience designing, implementing, and deploying quality frameworks and procedures with large amounts of data. They also have a proven track record of identifying and mitigating risk in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. Responsibilities

  • You will lead the platform security function; responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security around the cloud platform and proper user authorization and privacy controls 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the company to effectively build and communicate best practices in security with engineering and product management teams to ensure compliance and product improvement
  • Diligently documents systems, frameworks, data interactions, and flows; you will be the first in this role, and your work is laying the foundation for the future 
  • Create procedures and protocols that will provide appropriate situational awareness and actions in response to identified risk Encourage and promote an environment of transparency and innovation in addressing risk
  • Review complex code to ensure quality and security is maintained
  • Enforce compliance policies in regards to security documentation and procedures across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with a combination of security,  software, and cloud infrastructure engineering
  • Experience designing and implementing security systems in a cloud-based environment
  • Experience with AWS IAM principals and configuration
  • Extensive knowledge of API development with HTTP, REST, and JSON
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, including SOCs
  • Experience with vulnerability management and incident response 
  • Experience with cryptography

Bonus Qualifications

  • CISSP, CISM, GWAP, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certification
  • Previous experience with a Machine Learning company 
  • Previous experience working with industrial customers with a video function
