The Role

As IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible in supportingSBF’s information security group in keeping the organization’s IT assets secured. This involves initial risk assessment, implementation and testing of new security platforms, monitoring of computer and network security logs and event manager, review of user access and privileges, troubleshooting and responding to security incidents, preparation of audit trail and supporting documents, and submission of periodic security report.

How you'll contribute

• Ensure deliverables are completed within timelines and within expected quality
• Support in the identification of threats and cyber risks across changes in applications, systems, and infrastructure
• Details out workflow, verify requirements, and embeds necessary security controls
• Provide technical guidance on encountered security issues in IT systems including cloud services
• Assist with the design and implementation of best security practices
• Provide guidance, advice, and recommendation to the Technology teams on how to improve the current control set
• Provide support as needed relative to the design reviews, implementation, and cyber testing
• Provides relevant information for identified process deviations and incidents to aid the Information Security Leads in formulating appropriate and specific action plans that will address risks to such deviations
• Develops presentation materials on policy implementations, security awareness, documented agreements, and action items
• Monitors and reports fulfillment of IT department and service providers compliance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Information Security Leads

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science
• At least 4 yrs experience as IT Security Engineer from Software, IT Consulting, Banking, Financial Technology/Fintech
• Proficient in MS Office Programs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Sec+, SSCP, CSX, MTA, CCNA (desirable but not required)
