Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.Atlassian is searching for an Engineering Manager to join the Ecosystem Platform Engineering group in Syd(AU timezone) reporting to the Ecosystem Trust Pillar Mission lead(EM).The Atlassian Ecosystem has been wildly successful: we surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenue on the Atlassian Marketplace, and Over 60% of Jira Software and Confluence customers use at least one Marketplace app.Now, the team powering the platform behind this Ecosystem has a huge role to play in promoting our customers' journey to the Cloud.Due to the organisational growth, this team will become part of the Enterprise Foundations team and contribute to the mission of scalability of important services related to invocation of Forge and 3LO apps.Where you'll make an impactAs a member of the team, you will be responsible for an engineering team that build and operate the infrastructure, services and APIs contributing to our pillar's mission.We also help build and run Forge, Atlassian's cutting edge, FaaS-based extension platform, which simplifies and accelerates the process of building Apps, focused especially on Enterprise customers.In this role, you will collaborate closely not only with your immediate team, but also with engineering managers across a wide range of Atlassian product and infrastructure teams, as well as with product managers and 3rd party vendors.

What you'll do:

    • 3+ years of experience leading a development team in (at least) a technical capacity, preferably in a service ownership model
    • Experience working in a service ownership model and having a clear understanding of SLOs and SLIs
    • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and software development practices (unit testing, pair programming, and continuous integration)
    • Experience in a remote working environment

Your background:

    • A bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
