Supplier Manager II (Remote in Mexico)

The Supplier Manager II at Rackspace Technology is responsible for managing the vendor relationship, negotiations, and works as a business partner with the company's departments. Serves as the sole interface between the customer, Rackspace strategic sourcing team, and suppliers to ensure that sourcing needs are met.Work Location: Remote- Fluent, Bi-lingual (Spanish and English): Please submit a resume in English to be considered for the role. interviews will be held in English. - Role can work remotely in the states of Ciudad de Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Estado de Mexico and Puebla.- This opportunity is a permanent remote job, but you need to be based in Mexico at one of the above locations.

Responsibilities

• Optimize internal customer relationships by building a solid rapport with everyone within the organization and managing global sourcing supplier relationships.
• Enhance the procurement and supply chain processes throughout all entities (Domestic and International) by entering into global strategic sourcing partnerships.
• Identify and take advantage of strategic sourcing opportunities and manage difficult situations to ensure that the Strategic sourcing team’s reputation for Fanatical Support is upheld.
• Maintain direct contact with internal customers throughout the entire supply chain with efforts to minimize cost, shorten delivery times, and maximize quality.
• The focus of work may be in the whole supply chain from acquisition to disposal.
• Lead, coordinate, and manage production supply and service agreements for the business.
• Develop and process RFQ’s, RFP’s, PO requisitions and Partnership agreements.
• Manage a Supplier Performance Scorecard program with critical suppliers and maintain company Approved Supplier List.
• Establish alliances with key production suppliers and perform supplier site visits and audits as required.
• Guide and assist team members on procurement best practices, e- procurement technology, and supplier relationship management practices.
• Interface with internal customers with integrate procurement planning and budgeting process.
• Develop and conduct market analysis and research that will help define commodity markets, analyze trends, competition, capacity and purchasing buying power.

Knowledge

• Basic to expert knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
• Prior knowledge of a technology-based service-oriented industry is preferred.
• Prior knowledge of Oracle is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• Experience in handling multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize and highly varied work level to maintain required productivity levels.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities.
• Basic understanding of supplier management techniques.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
• Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
• Ability to provide FANATICAL support.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
• At the manager’s discretion, equivalent additional experience may substitute for the degree requirement
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
