Director, Global Benefits

Our Director, Global Benefits manages the worldwide benefits plan and philosophy to make sure it matches up with the company's strategy, values, and culture. They lead the way in creating, organizing, rolling out, and overseeing all of the organization's global benefits programs for employees, like health and wellness, retirement, time off, and more. They will handle budgeting and staffing decisions and makes sure everything is in line with the law and regulations. Also takes on the role of guiding and supporting team members to help them grow and succeed.This role is Remote in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Researches and develops market competitive strategy for all benefit programs to attract and retain talent in alignment with overall total rewards philosophy and strategy.
- Prepares qualitative and quantitative analytics in collaboration with Finance to support development of cost-effective benefit programs, including proposals for program changes, utilization, vendor performance, trends and program analysis.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and maintain effective governance processes.
- Optimizes cost of benefits programs between company and employee to meet organizational goals.
- Leads global relationship management and drive ongoing communication across regional and local teams. Develops strategy and tools to drive effective communication of benefit strategies and programs.
- Oversees the selection and implementation process for vendors and plans, and negotiate coverage, services and costs with carriers and brokers.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of employee global benefit programs and administration with specific skills in developing and administering organization-wide benefit programs. Understands key business drivers and risks, and how employee benefits should be aligned to support strategic objectives.
- Organizes and presents detailed and complex information clearly and effectively. Can interact and influence at all levels of the organization. Demonstrates strong technical skills and has excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines.
- Applies varying leadership traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations. Manage, mentor, coach, and motivate the team to problem solve and achieve their goals. Ability to build relationships with key strategic partners.
- Provides strong people management, project management, organizational change and consulting skills.
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of employee benefits design and administration experience as well as management experience.
- Global benefits management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
