Who we seek:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager for our Cloud Security Team, reporting to the CISO. The Sr. Manager of Cloud Security will oversee BigIDs Security operations team, while working alongside a rockstar team of Security Engineers.  This role will be responsible for developing a strategic cloud security strategy rooted in developing security guardrails and identity and access mechanisms.  A successful candidate will understand and anticipate engineering development standards, and the ability to engineer security products to automate remediation efforts in cloud environments.  

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain a multi-year Cloud Security roadmap. 
• Lead the day-to-day Cloud Security function and mature the overall program - including:
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on misconfigurations
• Develop and maintain access mechanisms for BigID products (Just In Time/Self Service principles)
• Design, deploy, and maintain services/platforms for our security & engineering teams
• Utilize configuration management and “infrastructure as code” for all environments
• Establish robust alerting, logging, monitoring, and documentation across technologies
• Define Security Guardrails and standardize “gold” images/templates via terraform
• Develop the strategy for container security principles and define strategy for risk reduction
• Develop the strategy for Security products to automate remediation security risks in AWS
• Lead Security Incident Investigations
• Lead strategic planning on security protocols to secure Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes at scale
• Lead large projects from inception to implementation
• Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results
• Partner with teams across BigID on organizational security initiatives
• Design cloud security solutions for monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and attack surface analysis and risk reduction
• Collaborate with engineering organizations to build inherently secure cloud architecture solutions
• Partner with IT and Engineering teams in cross functional project to reduce security risk to the business
• Lead large projects from inception to implementation
• Deploy, configure, and secure security centric tooling
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports
• Develop and maintain all relevant documentation, policies, standards, and processes across the business.

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience with modern programing languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and distributed systems
• Deep expertise with one or more major cloud  service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud(GCP), Azure
• Experience with developing Cloud Security Strategy rooted in engineering principles
• People leader with a passion for developing talent
• Expertise in cloud service architecture and  cloud security concepts
• Experience with Kubernetes and container security
• Experienced with building tools and services using Golang, Python or other programming languages
• Able to write clear, scalable and clear design documentation
