Solutions Architect (AdTech)

Since we launched in 2016, we have streamed more than 700+ million hours of content! This role is for someone with experience developing advertising technology and wants to help lead DAZNs future advertising by assisting and guiding others. This is a hybrid role that combines engineering and advertising knowledge. You will be encouraged to use your initiative to drive ideas forwardYOUR TEAM The AdTech team is responsible the expansion of video advertising across all DAZNs app platforms and is considered a key revenue generator for the company. AdTech starts with on site camera’s and goes all the way through to every user’s app or TV. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO (NOT ALL OF IT, JUST THE MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)

• Manage and deliver ad tech integration into our video platforms across multiple
• This is a unique hybrid role within our company that combines aspects of a web technologist and solutions architect
• Create concepts and documentation for new solutions and changes to existing systems
• Work closely with product and delivery teams to ensure the systems we build are delivered and conform to our architecture principles and standards
• Design architectures using industry-standard methodologies and present to stakeholders
• Establish both functional and non-functional requirements of stakeholders
• Anticipate, and investigate issues and identify and initiate quality improvement measures                                                        

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS?

• Proficiency in the development lifecycle of software code in one or more programming languages (NodeJS, Java, Python, etc.), and core knowledge of databases and SQL
• Ability to steer through a high level of ambiguity by identifying key technical problems to prioritize
• Proven experience designing and developing large scale, complex, loosely coupled, high-performance architectures involving many moving parts
• Technically strong, solution-oriented with significant experience working with both third-party suppliers and in-house solutions
• Proven track record of solving complex technology and business problems
• Deep understanding of technology applications and architecture stacks within content management systems, event-driven stream architectures and digital advertising  
• Knowledge of Cloud-based systems, in particular, AWS, Lambda, Fargate, ECS, event-driven architecture and microservices                      

NOT ESSENTIAL BUT GREAT IF YOU ALSO HAVE

• Have an understand of advertising technologies such as DSPs, VAST/VMAP and Dynamic Ad Insertion and its APIs implementations
• Knowledge of video streaming technology such as HLS/DASH manifests and SCTE markers
