Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:  We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer III who will be responsible for the planning, design, configuration, integration & installation of our growing local area network (LAN) and/or global wide area network (WAN). The Network Engineer III will provide technical support and documentation to various departments and users with regards to the global infrastructure. The Network Engineer III may serve as a liaison to gather network requirements from internal customers, vendors and other third-party providers. Work Location: Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot network related issues including resolution of outages/incidents as well as more advanced Service Request functions.
• Joining recovery calls with different teams for resolution of high priority incidents within SLA.  
• Network monitoring, Remote administration, configuration, trouble shooting, setup, deployment, IP Schema, IP Protocol, implementation and support of IP addresses, routing table entries, network filters, and any other applicable operational configuration parameters for all managed Network devices.
• Provide design defect solution along with Service improvement ideas.
• Coordinate with other support teams for issue resolution (if required). 
• Implement changes needed for network performance optimization, new requirements etc.
• Document incidents, service request, and change requests as per standard process. 
• Proper handling the incidents escalated from NOC Level-2 engineer & other teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience with OSI & TCP/IP Network protocol architecture, Layering benefits and concept, functions of different layers, switches and LAN design, VLAN’s, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP. 
• Cisco Router & Switch experience with emphasis on IOS / CatOS, NxOS.
• Excellent knowledge in Nexus Technologies (OTV, VPC, FABRICPATH)  & Hardware (7K, 5K, 2K etc).
• Working knowledge of first hop redundancy protocols (i.e. HSRP, VRRP, GLBP etc).
• Experience on configuration and maintenance of F5/ ACE load balancer.
• WAN transport technologies (Frame Relay, ATM, Private/Leased Line, MPLS, ISDN, PPP, HDLC).
• Knowledgeable in LAN technologies (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
• Ability to authenticate, authorize, and/or encrypt mechanisms (LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, PKI, SSL, SSH).                                            
• Excellent Knowledge on F5/ACE load balancer.
• Excellent understanding of the protocols like FTP, TFTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, WINS, IPSEC.   
• Proficient, verbally and written, in both the English and French languages.
