The Role:

The Cloud Security Operations Analyst works in a multi-disciplinary team of teams driving cyber security services and solutions to enable Citi to securely adopt private, hybrid, and public Cloud platforms. Our operating model emphasizes DevSecOps, that is, automation, integration, and agility based on Security as a Service / Security as Code concepts. Candidates should have knowledge of the tools and products related to the area of cloud posture management and cloud native application protection platforms, as well as experience with automating repetitive tasks.

This role reports to the Cloud SecOps Cloud Continuous Monitoring Manager and will be responsible for driving forward the monitoring and assessment of cloud infrastructure and cloud products using various tools and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage cloud tooling to generate alerts for misconfigurations and vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize information security controls and reporting
• Develop and implement cloud native solutions that aid and mature the Cloud SecOps Cloud Continuous Monitoring program
• Scan and analyze applications with automated tools and perform manual testing if necessary
• Reduce risk by analyzing the root cause of issues, their impact, and required corrective actions
• Implement security monitoring, including logging aggregation, correlation, and real-time alerting of security events and incidents
• Validate that system design/architecture meets compliance requirements
• Effectively articulate and communicate technical security specifications, requirements, etc. through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical partners

Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant experience in the following areas:

• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools (CSPMs, SSPMs, etc.)
• Strong development background with experience automating tasks and reporting (Python preferred)
• Knowledge of containers and supporting technologies (EKS, GKE, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Knowledge of DevOps processes and best practices including the use of pipelines and code management tools
• Hands on experience with IaC tooling (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, etc.)
• Offensive Security-oriented mindset (threat-modeling, vulnerability assessments, pen testing, etc.)
• Strong understanding of security incident response processes
• Excellent technical documentation skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management are required

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Related Field or equivalent working experience required
• Certain industry-accredited certifications will be required and candidates without certification must be willing to pursue them during the course of employment
• Candidates with cloud security certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, etc.) and other security certifications (OSCP, OSCE, GXPN, GPEN, GCIH, GWAPT, etc.) will be preferred
