QA Practice Lead, New York

Lab49 is looking for a leader for its Quality Engineering practice, which partners with our clients to shift the traditional testing paradigm towards embedding quality engineering. Quality Engineering Practice Lead will closely collaborate with the clients and other Lab49 functions to discover and lead opportunities to introduce quality engineering practices benefitting the client and allowing Lab49 further expand the business. The role will require a potent combination of experience in successfully introducing and delivering quality engineering, Capital Markets / Crypto domain expertise, and stakeholder management skills to lead engagements that create substantial value for our clients while also being commercially successful. Requirements:The successful candidate will be an experienced quality engineering solution architect with solid delivery management experience, able to demonstrate a track record of delivering QE initiatives to IT and business stakeholders. This person will be a passionate technologist with a demonstrated ability to bring together all components required for successful delivery. The candidate will be well-versed in the existing and emerging quality engineering techniques and technologies, QE trends and have experience in transforming legacy QA processes and technologies to QE practices directed to drastic time-to-production and quality improvement as well as ROI maximisation.- Substantial Quality Solution Architecture and Management experience- Experience from the QE perspective in transforming legacy enterprise delivery processes to Agile delivery at scale.- Practical knowledge of building test data management platforms for complex input/reference-data-heavy enterprise platforms.- Good proficient understanding of quality processes and tools for Web, mobile, Cloud-native, data-focused, etc. applications delivery.- Demonstrated ability to discover the client platform landscape and processes and propose a target state, including methodology, tool stack, team skills and transformation roadmap.- Fluency in qualitative, quantitative and financial quality metrics.- In-depth understanding of the DevSecOps processes and tools.- Experience with environment management and health monitoring.- Cloud services knowledge required (AWS / Azure).- Strong leadership and engineering management skills, including successfully managing teams to a defined scope and budget with high-quality output.- Financial Services (Capital Markets in particular) background is highly preferred.- Recent hands-on experience with automation tools and technologies: Perfecto, SauceLabs, BrowserStack, RestAssured, Cucumber, Selenium, QMetry, ALM, Jira, TeamCity, GitLab, Splunk or others. Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Engineering and Product times to define the QE offering.- Create a set of practices and tools for accelerating QE transformation projects, including a maturity assessment framework and ROI calculation approach.- Lead QE discovery and propose a transformation approach and roadmap for the Lab49 clients.- Represent the Lab49 QE function during the sales process.- Run quality processes assessment for the existing clients.- Closely work with the Lab49 quality engineers to define their development approach.Lab49 is a specialist strategy, design, and technology consulting company dedicated to the financial services industry.
