Product Marketing Manager

Rackspace Private Cloud is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to support our Private Cloud products and solutions.  The Product Marketing Manager will be a key part of the Private Cloud Product Marketing Team. You will be responsible for understanding our private cloud products and services through the lens of our Product Managers and architects to interpret features and benefits into compelling and engaging messaging to attract prospects and create interest. You will focus on our more technical audiences helping to create a technical go-to-market strategy to drive demand, pipeline, and revenue. Location: Remote based in the United States

Responsibilities

    • Create and improve private cloud messaging and assets that help technical customers from executives to developers clearly understand the unique value proposition for Rackspace Private Cloud.
    • Use your domain and practitioner knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of Hybrid Multicloud to create content to reach out to customers and start a dialog about the problems Rackspace Private Cloud products solve and how they can help them. Content should be easily consumable, simple, accurate, and polished as it will be featured product content on our web properties and in our sales process to help educate our users and customers.
    • Work with Product Managers, Go-To-Market leaders, and Alliance Managers to deliver presentations, battle cards, blog posts, thought leadership pieces, and technical white papers that align with our go-to-market initiatives.
    • Develop effective field training and enablement tools including presentations, whitepapers, market analyses, and structured programs that help the field sales organization articulate our value proposition and uncover opportunities.
    • Engage leaders from specialist sales, engineering, and marketing to understand evolving customer requirements and perceptions to create and deliver compelling Rackspace differentiators.
    • Use field communication channels to drive the adoption of sales plays and create awareness to sellers on visibility to new wins, proof points, and key messages.
    • Work effectively across Rackspace with groups such as product management, digital marketing, sales, sales enablement, business development, and evangelists to ensure we are communicating in the right channels to drive interest and achieve business goals.
    • Partner with sales leaders, business development leaders, product leaders, and partners to develop sales plays and materials to support the sales plays.
    • Take the developer’s perspective for the customer and seller journey to write compelling sales collaterals to drive messaging that addresses how Rackspace Private Cloud can solve the challenges and improve outcomes for targeted personas.

Knowledge

    • Thorough knowledge and experience throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Understanding of the technical community and best avenues of communication
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent understanding and/or experience with Cloud Computing, a plus.
    • Able to operate as a matrix manager by coordinating and influencing resources across the company.
    • Ability to work up and down levels of the organization.

Experience

    • 9+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical sales, or product marketing/management
    • 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content
    • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or a relevant field
    • Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products
    • Experience bringing high-tech products to market on a global scale.
    • Must have Cloud Hosting, Managed Hosting, DevOps, or SaaS experience

This information applies only to individuals working in these states.• The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $105,100 - $154,110. • The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $111,800 - $164,010.• The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City, and Washington is: $122,500 - $179,630 Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of a bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
