Network Security Engineer

Job Brief:

Responsible for planning, designing, deploying configuration, troubleshooting and executing UAT for Network Security solutions at enterprise clients, as well as supporting them as matter of on-site support during the commitment period

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in designing Network Security solution as per standards, and build the project BOQ/BOM
• Work with clients to better understand their requirements and develop innovative solutions to fulfill their business and technical objectives
• Work closely with procurement department and technology vendor for pricing the proposed Network Security solutions
• Help presales team in presenting and demonstrating Network Security solutions, as well as building the proposed technical write-up for the targeted solution(s) including scope of work, responsibility matrix, SLA with vendor…etc.
• Take accountability for overall Network Security solutions activation project performance, manage project with defined contract, ensure project plan, measure project performance, and take corrective actions
• Interface with customers on all technical matters including lab trials, testing, and deployments
• Help to fulfil the technology vendor(s) requirements to maintain the partnership as addressed by Product Manager
• Assist in creating processes, detailed documentation, and artifacts that will be used at scale to develop and evolve enterprise technologies
• Support business team by engaging with clients to maximize the adoption of new network technologies across the business and the use cases that it enables in support of a client’s digital transformation
• Work with Umniah stakeholders and customers to converge on offering requirement
• Work on defining a detailed technical requirements and system-level design (SLA), as well as provide architectural expertise and guidance
• Support enterprise clients whether remotely or on-site and fulfil the SLA as proposed to client, measure the performance and write RFOs.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA
• Excellent command of computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Very Good command of English language both speaking and writing
• Very Good command of communication skills
• Very Good command of technical writing and reporting skills

Desirable:

• Experience with large enterprise network designing and support
• Excellent understanding of platform and network security technologies
• Good knowledge in NIST Framework and ISO27001
• Good knowledge of scripting using Python and PowerShell
• Good knowledge of project management fundamentals

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Engineering or any other related field.

Level of Experience:

Advanced Experience in a related field including a solid experience with solutions provided by Fortinet, Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto

Certifications & Licensure:

Essential:

• Excellent background & knowledge in:
  • Integrated Router - Firewall Background
  • Next Generation Firewall & Secured SD-WAN Background
  • WAF, IPS, NDR, PAM, NAC, LB, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL, and DDoS Mitigation …etc.
  • Vulnerability assessment and performance testing
• Routing and Switching knowledge
• Certifications from the relevant technology vendors, especially in:
  • CCNP
  • Fortinet NSE4

Desirable:

• Fortinet NSE 5, 6, 7, & 8
• Cisco CCIE – Security
• CompTIA a+
• CompTIA Security+
• ITIL
• Project Management Certification
• Palo Alto experience and/or certification in PCNSE
• F5 experience in BIG-IP products and/or certification in BIG-IP products
