About the RoleFasten your helmet and climb aboard if you’re ready to be our Lead/ Senior Software Engineer - Golang for the Data Engineering team. As Gojek is undergoing exponential growth, our data has followed the same growth curve. Thus, as an integral member of the Data Engineering team, you'll be at the epicenter of one of Southeast Asia's most coveted companies, and get to witness and solve the challenges that come with rapid scaling. In this role, you'll focus heavily on building and scaling a data platform that enables and delivers reliable, trustworthy, and approachable data to our users, as well as designing, developing, deploying frontend applications with a high sense of ownership. Additionally, you'll devise and manage our entire web infrastructure, and produce innovative solutions that our users will enjoy. Your software will deliver, model, and curate data that powers core data platforms throughout Gojek.
What You Will Do
- Drive architecture, design & implementation of complex micro-services
- Design and implementation of the services using either 3 tier or hexagonal architecture;
- Write RFCs, system analysis documents outlining the proposed changes
- Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability in accordance with best practices and fault-tolerant.
- Debug production issues across services and different levels of the stack;
- Ability to learn new stacks and propose systematic changes to the existing stack
- Code reusable, modular UI components that can be open sourced;
- Experience in distributed systems.
- Deep dive into cloud technologies, kubernetes and IAS.
What You Will Need
- At least 4 years of experience in developing backend services/microservices using GoLang
- Knowledge and experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
- Solid understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles)
- Ability to collaborate and communicate asynchronously, delivering and iterating quickly
- An appreciation for clean and well-documented code; a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Knowledge or experience with Distributed systems, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
- Good to have experience on front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or ReactJS
