About the RoleIn this role, you will act as a bridge between the business intelligence team, software engineering team, product team, compliance team, and legal team to help enable the stakeholders to accurately make data-driven decisions while implementing proper data security and protection principles. Through this role you will be able to flex your data analytical skills, communication and leadership skills, and greatly contribute to securing data within the Gojek ecosystem. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple people with different backgrounds, so you will be exposed to different perspectives.
What You Will Do
- Create, promote, and maintain a proper collection of procedures, roles, policies, standards, and metrics related to data that guarantee the efficient and effective use of information to allow an organization to find data/ information faster and reliable, both for short and long term
- Ensure data is accessible and inclusive to authorized users to promote a data-driven environment
- Communicates cross-department within internal and external parties to ensure the data governance principles are implemented throughout the entire data lifecycle for the applicable internal and external requirements
- Ensure the data model and architecture from the transactional pipeline are suitable for analytics
- Ensure all data in both transactional and analytical pipelines have proper metadata management
- Ensure all activities related to data are monitored, analyzed, and audited
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of experience in data fields
- Strong fundamentals in data security, data modeling, and data architecture
- Proficiency in obtaining and analyzing data with SQL is a must
- Familiarity with a cloud data warehouse service is a plus
- Familiarity with the UNIX environment is a plus
- Knowledge in programming and Python is a plus
- Ability to analyze complex situations to derive workable actions is a must
- Ability to constructively challenge requirements and the current state is a must

We constantly bounce ideas and opinions off of each other, learning and growing together along the way.Our main responsibility is to oversee and manage the security of data with data privacy being our top-most concern. Our ecosystem is processing millions of customers' data that needs to be kept private and prevent issues such as data breaches from occurring. In doing so, we are collaborating very closely with other security teams in Gojek Group who we all are mutually concerned with security in our ecosystem.
