Infrastructure Expert Support Engineer is a part of a dedicated team of experts responsible for advanced troubleshooting of hyper convergent storage and compute clusters. The clusters are built on Acronis technology and provide backup and disaster recovery features for public or private cloud deployments. Infrastructure Expert Support Engineer role provides an opportunity to practice technical skills with Linux, network, storage, cloud, virtualization and container technologies. Become a valuable member of the software vendor company with opportunities to directly influence the evolution of the products by closely working together with different departments like Software Engineering, Product Management, Data Center Operations, Professional Services and so on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Become a technical expert in cloud and hybrid datacenter solutions created by Acronis, including software defined high performance storage and compute clusters, disaster recovery infrastructure and managing complex environments during failover and failback operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve various technical incidents for Acronis customers and partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Interact with the Engineering (Development, QA, Data Center Operations, etc.) and Business (Professional Services, Product Management, etc.) departments to efficiently resolve complex technical customer issues
  • Training and mentoring junior team members by sharing technical expertise and best communication practices
  • Participate in developing documentation, knowledge base, and technical articles on Acronis‘ products

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Fluent English (both written and verbal). Additional languages are a plus
  • Advanced technical expertise in:
    • Linux OS - advanced hands-on experience with administration and troubleshooting of various Linux OS flavors (Red Hat Certified System Administrator as a baseline)
    • Networks – traffic inspection, routing and bandwidth analysis; experience with setup of services like DHCP, DNS, L2TP/IPSEC/Open VPN including high availability configurations
    • Private Cloud - deploying and managing any of various enterprise-grade virtualization and/or container solutions such as, VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Virtuozzo, Kubernetes
    • Good communication skills and customer service focus
    • Passion for troubleshooting and ability to come up with efficient solutions for unordinary issues

Would be considered plus if you have:

  • Windows OS - administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Public Cloud – management and troubleshooting of public cloud solutions like Google, Amazon, Azure
  • Business applications - deployment and troubleshooting of Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, Citrix XenApp
