Information System Security Officer

Freedom Consulting Group is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing technical documentation for SSPs and leading systems through achieving approvals for testing and operation (e.g., Interim Authority to Test (IATT), Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), Authority to Operate (ATO)). In addition, the candidate should have experience with computer/system security engineering and possess computer operating system experience with LINUX-based platforms as well as Windows-based platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 8570 certifications compliant with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required
• Ten (10) years’ experience as an ISSO in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional ISSO experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Experience is to include at least two (2) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
• Experience developing technical documentation for SSPs and successfully leading systems through achieving approvals for testing and operation (e.g., Interim Authority to Test (IATT), Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), Authority to Operate (ATO))
• Experience with Computer/system security engineering. Computer operating system experience with LINUX-based platforms
