See more of what we do here.  This Technical Implementation Consultant (IC) position role lives within the technical arm of the Granicus’ govService product family. This team helps customers (government agencies) transform the citizen experience.  As a Technical IC you’ll be an expert on the OneView software, part of the govService platform, and a key partner in the successful rollout of software projects and platforms across Latin America and the United States. You are a customer focused leader who works hand-in-hand with the project management team to implement products and solutions that require a higher level of technical knowledge (i.e. Web Services, internal and external APIs, SMS products and additional product integrations) for new and existing clients. The technical implementation consultant will also be in charge of supporting the OneView services team by gathering requirements, configure systems and support integrations and customizations development including reports, workflows and dashboards. A technical or software engineering background is preferred. Expert technical knowledge and enthusiasm for client success are cornerstones of this role.

What your impact will look like

  • Master the OneView platform – you’ll be the internal expert on the product, delivering the digital solution to the customer's requirements
  • Define features, phases, and solution requirements for customer implementations 
  • Provide specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered 
  • Partner with the assigned Project Manager, lead and manage multiple Granicus technical product implementations and solutions on schedule and with high quality 
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and other technical stakeholders on delivery of key solutions for the customer  
  • Develop training and implementation documentation for customized implementations 
  • Conduct system training for client administrators and developers when applicable 
  • Work closely with Process Designers (internal “builders”) and Project Managers that interface with customers alongside you - to advise on progress and share ideas 
  • Ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined and verify it matches the requirements 
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems 
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members 
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements 
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users 
  • Assess the needs of each client; recommend and document solutions 
  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings and provide feedback to the team
  • Identify potential implementation risks and mitigation – as early as possible
  • Collaborate with product engineering on validating designs and producing technical requirements for product enhancements when necessary 
  • Documentation – create current and future state process maps, functional requirement, user interface requirements documents, etc.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions, both internal and external
  • Configure systems and support integrations and customizations development including reports workflows and dashboards. This may incluide database query development, web service development, front end web development and worflow development

You will excel in this role if you have

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical literacy and familiarity with a broad scope of technologies used to build web applications, which helps determine how a software solution fits into an organization’s current structure and assists in the development of specifications and requirements 
  • Analyze a process, and easily see the “if/thens” in the logic. Familiarity with building online forms and/or workflow strongly preferred. You know which fields need to be displayed on a form, and which questions are context sensitive (e.g. children dates of birth to be requested only where number of children is greater than zero) 
  • Demonstrate and ensure timely and thorough communication of strategy, deliverable status, and results 
  • Flex between the technical and business sides of your brain – engineers and cross-functional team members alike love to work with you
  • Work with multiple cross-functional teams to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions 
  • Successfully facilitate technical software implementations
  • Problem-solve and quickly change direction based on updated client specifications or system limitations 
  • Commit to doing the most valuable work first 
  • Communicate effectively, demonstrating strong listening, verbal, and written skills 
  • Work both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams, some remote 
  • Exhibit a track record of functioning well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing demands

Security Requirement

  • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
