Executive Security Specialist

At the direction of the Bungie Security Manager and the Bungie Security Lead, the Bungie Executive Security Specialist is responsible for the mitigation of threats directed towards Bungie personnel and/or assets in addition to blustering daily security operations, including: Executive protection, advance planning, risk assessments, counter surveillance, TOV (Threat of Violence) mitigation, team training and overall live and safety at Bungie facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work within a cross functional team.
  • Provide covert EP (Executive Protection) for personnel and/or assets, while maintaining a low profile.
  • Liaison internally and externally with local/federal law enforcement, contractors, Bungie security, and other company personnel.
  • Respond to emergent TOV incidents and assist with the implementation of mitigation procedures.
  • Partner with Bungie’s TMT (Threat Management Team) and assist with the development and implementation of proactive security procedures.
  • Conduct SRA’s (Security Risk Assessments) as needed and develop comprehensive programs to address unique risk factors.
  • Oversee contracted security personnel during EP/TOV operations.
  • Develop SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for offsite company events and supervise internal and contracted security personnel.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Bungie’s EP program.
  • Partner with Bungie security leadership to assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive team training programs.
  • Assist with on-site daily security operations as needed.
  • Conduct random and routine audits to ensure maximum efficiency of Bungie security operations.
  • Ensure that all team members and studio personnel properly adhere to EAP (Emergency Action Plan) procedures during emergency situations and conduct building sweep during evacuations to confirm "clear".
  • Receive 24x7x365 escalations and utilize training and experience to direct/resolve incidents. Deliver sit-rep to all necessary parties as needed.
  • Mentor lower-level security personnel and assist with growth and development.
  • Conduct advance planning, develop SOP’s, and oversee protective detail for executive travel.
  • Respond to security related incidents as they occur.
  • Act as an ambassador to Bungie for all employees and guests entering the facility.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of company-wide safety & security policies and procedures related to building security, emergency preparedness, safety hazard mitigation, protection of company assets and loss prevention.
  • Develop and deliver reports/presentations, as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain standard emergency response protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain the studio’s security and life safety systems at regular intervals to ensure for proper operation and effectiveness.
  • Oversee emergency procedures, such as: fire, earthquake, active shooter, lockdown, and evacuation.
  • Preform inspections of security equipment, including CCTV and access control systems.
  • Gain expertise with the various tools and programs utilized to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Responsible for overall life and safety of Bungie employees and guests.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience in Corporate/Enterprise Security
  • Prior training and/or experience in Executive Protection
  • Strong experience in extensive military, law enforcement, or corporate security experience. Military special operations branch or protective operations preferred.
  • Must pass employment background check
  • Ability to pass federal/state requirements to possess firearm credentials
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must have a HS diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage dynamic and high-stress situations in a calm and professional demeanor
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in extensive military, law enforcement, or corporate security experience, preferably in a military special operations branch or protective operations.
  • Basic medical training including First Aid, CPR and AED.
  • Must have strong oral communication and representational skills with the ability to write in a clear and precise manner.
  • Prior de-escalation training.
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage projects and schedules effectively
  • Efficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office and O365, including Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted
  • Must be able to run and climb stairs or ladders
  • Must have sufficient hearing to respond to normal verbal speech, alarm signals, radio and telephone communications
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read and understand emails, incident logs, maps, and computer screens to check identification (such as company badges, or driver’s licenses) and to distinguish the faces of employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Must be able to complete internal training programs
  • Position requires one to stand and walk for long periods of time

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Everbridge application management experience
  • Avigilon ACC and ACM experience
  • Executive Protection training and experience
  • Advance medical training
  • WAVR-21 or equivalent risk management training/certification.

Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date.
