Director, Cyber Training

As the Director, Cyber training you will:

• Oversee the curriculum, ensuring that content, labs and technology support the unique learning outcomes of courses and are relevant to the current threat and security landscape
• Create requirements and resources for vetting, curating and training a pool of instructors and cybersecurity experts based on Evolve Academy’s teaching methodology
• Ensure the success of the Academy, cyber training for consumers and corporate clients including:
  • Responsible for the overall customer satisfaction of Academy customers
  • Meeting revenue goals, driving growth, and assisting in budget discussions
  • Ensuring learning outcomes are achieved with exceptional student engagement (curriculum, labs, instructors, student experience, and job placement)
  • Manage and build the Academy team (training and curriculum team including contractors) to support overall training and student success
• Assist with Academy marketing and thought leadership such as with MeetUp’s, conference presentations, blogs and other outreach events as subject matter expert on cybersecurity training
• Serve as the subject matter expert with the sales team on corporate training sales calls and assist in developing proposals for clients, grants or RFPS when required
• Advise sales and marketing management on Academy training services and solutions
• Assist with student inquiries and customer service escalations as needed
• Additional duties and adjusted scope may occur as the business needs evolve and are deemed necessary

Requirements

• 4+ years experience managing/leading a team
• 3+ years experience developing curriculum
• Ability to translate highly technical content to a more digestible format for a more beginner audience
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Communication skills
• Experience being a Cybersecurity instructor
• Knowledge of offensive and defensive security capabilities
• Understanding of application security best practices

Nice to have:

• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threat intelligence and emerging attacks on current threat landscape
• Some knowledge of Python as it relates to RegEx, Scripting for Security, and Data Analysis
