We will not be pursuing candidates requiring a Visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future*Application Process: - Accepting applications through January 2024- Interviews will be conducted in February 2024- Offers to be extended beginning of March 2024As a Cyber Security Intern, you will primarily support the Security Consulting program. You will assist in conducting security assessments in client environments while also working with Marco’s Security Operations team to maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge of current threats. You will respond to client requests in a timely manner, communicate expectations, and provide status updates as needed. This position will stay current with the latest technology breaches, viruses, malware, and changes in regulatory standards that impact information security. You will provide escalation support to our managed customer support teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Acquire an understanding of Marco’s information systems, managed technology solutions, security architecture, and how it is designed to operate daily. Contribute as assigned to daily security management tasks.
  • Conduct security assessments through audit, discovery, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis.
  • Understand and maintain proficiency with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) including updates, organizational impacts, and practical use.
  • Respond in a timely manner to security-related events, conduct investigations within established procedures, provide a thorough post-event analysis, and work with clients, vendor, and internal teams to manage security threats.
  • Ensure implemented solutions are meeting expectations and assist with product maintenance and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain and contribute to best practices within the organization, including, but not limited to our technology practice groups, knowledge base or documentation library, and assigned committees. Continuously update the company’s incident response and supporting procedures.
  • Accurately maintain and comply with documentation, communication, time entry, and administrative procedures in a timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call and after hours work as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate student enrolled or recent graduate in a Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite (40 hours/week M-F) during summer 2024
  • Able and willing to live within commutable distance to either the Minnetonka, MN or St. Cloud Marco office locations
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Occasional travel is required via automobile and includes travel to different Marco, client, and vendor locations.
