Assistant Corporate Controller (General Accounting)

As the Assistant Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of Global accounting and financial reporting functions. Given the global scale and exciting phase of rapid-growth of Acronis, we are looking for someone who will be able to be an integral part of the finance department on a global basis. As this is a highly visible position, it involves significant interaction with external auditors, finance staffs, and process owners in other functions. This role will report directly into our Corporate Controller and will work in a hybrid working model, partnering with a dynamic team across many time zones.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•  Assist in the month, quarter and year-end group closing process, including trend analysis, reconciliations and reporting
• Assist in preparation of the annual consolidated financials; including preparation of audit schedules and analysis
• Participate in the design and implement processes to ensure efficiency and compliance; working with finance and accounting departments when reviewing new accounting programs; and assisting in resolution of accounting problems arising between internal departments.
• Prepare financial information in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements by assisting in the research of regulatory changes; and ensuring the company financial statements are compliant with GAAP
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans
• Assist and provide support for external global reporting as necessary
• Drive automation of manual processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes
• Policy and procedures development and documentation

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience at a multinational company
• CPA with a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in US GAAP reporting requirements
• Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
• High level of discipline, independency, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high-level of accuracy
• Team-player and positive attitude, eager to do more and help out, views challenging situations as opportunities
• SOX compliance knowledge/experience is a plus
