Director of Cloud Operations- INWe are looking for a visionary Director of Cloud Operations who will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, team leadership, and a track record of implementing best practices to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management:Lead the strategic planning, design, and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring they align with the company's business goals.Oversee the day-to-day management of cloud resources, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture standards and best practices.Team Leadership:Build and mentor a high-performing cloud operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.Security and Compliance:Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the company's cloud infrastructure and data.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting regular security assessments and audits.Cost Management:Manage cloud budgeting and cost optimization efforts, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining performance and scalability.Implement cost tracking and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into cloud spending.Monitoring and Performance Optimization:Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and outages.Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for maximum performance and availability.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in case of unforeseen incidents.Conduct regular tests and drills to ensure the effectiveness of these plans.Vendor Management:Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring contracts and agreements are favorable to the company's interests.Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends to make informed vendor selection decisions.About Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
