Job Summary: The Azure Systems Engineer will be responsible for automating tasks, working on process improvements and sharing with team members to improve training and mentoring techniques while improving efficiency. Responsible for building prototypes of potential features and exploring innovative ideas to enhance products. Creating techincal design documents and standards to ensure all projects are aligned with best practices. Consistently working to streamling processess and seeking ways to make workflows more efficient. Testing and resolving day to day issues, while using skillset to pinpoint root causes and create or reccomend solutions. Work Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate, document, share, educate, and improves processes.
- Helps build prototypes of potential features.
- Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents and standards.
- Enhances automation of applications, systems, and platforms and identifies opportunities for streamlining, and continuous process improvement.
- Applies knowledge to practical and sustainable applications and capabilities.
- Tests and resolves problems, performs root cause analysis, identifies gaps, recommends solutions and preventative measures, and leads team members to solution delivery plans.
- Runs proof of concepts and uses diagnostic/debugging skills to solve current challenges in multi-platform systems.
- Provides technical leadership in implementation of applications, strategic planning sessions, documentation of requirements, tool implementation, database query languages, and programming languages.
- Uses subject matter expertise to support industry standard source control and source change management techniques.
- Presents technical designs and solutions to executives, management, and other audiences to gain consensus and/or project approval.
- Translates business requirements and designs innovative solutions in Azure, multi-region, highly available environments.
- Works interactively with Solutions Architects, Systems Architects, SW-development leads to design and architect cloud solutions and related features and user stories.
- Maintains a strong security posture in infrastructure and application deployments and development environments.
- Designs and automates the deployment of cloud infrastructure in CI/CD pipelines and leverage cloud-native services to support application deployment and development.
- Stays ahead of new cloud technologies and offerings; resolves how to integrate into existing architectures.
- Develops and documents standards and engineering best practices to deliver higher quality and scalable solutions.
- Integrates systems including SQL, NoSQL dBs, and Messaging tools and Application code with landing zones and platform infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Required 10+ years’ enterprise scale Azure Cloud Application/service.
- Design and Development experience.
- Proven experience as a software engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure development.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud
- Design patterns and best practices.
- Knowledge of SOLID design principles, Event Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, n-tier Application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, API Gateway, Azure Arc, etc.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python etc.)
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub CI/CD pipeline development.
- Experience working with Landing zones for standardized Identity, Access, Management, Monitoring, Deployment.
- Experience working with SQL and Cosmos DB databases, Redis Cache Must be extremely responsive, able to work under pressure in crisis with a strong sense of urgency.
- Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision. '
