Study in Security of Cloud Services and Software (Internship Project)

Duration: > 4 MonthsInternship Type: Undergraduate, Pre-UniversityCloud services such as Google's suite of services, or Microsoft 365 are becoming more prevalent as businesses pivot towards them for cost-effectiveness. This study aims to understand the security implications of adopting the use of such services.

Scope & Deliverables (one or more of the following)

• Perform network and/or code analysis to understand the authentication and data handling of selected cloud services and examine them for possible security weaknesses.
• Demonstrate how security weaknesses in selected cloud services could lead actual data leakage or security compromise through a proof-of-concept.

Prerequisites/Skills Required

• Proficient in Python, Javascript.
• Possess basic understanding of networking, moderate/good understanding of common internet protocols used by cloud services.
