Sr Manager - Security Architecture

We are looking for a Senior Manager: Security Architecture to join our Information Security (InfoSec) team. The InfoSec team leads the strategy, policy, and programs for information security company-wide. Our responsibilities include risk management, customer trust, recommending and implementing security controls, preventing and detecting security threats, and handling incident response. We do all of this in a globally distributed company, thinking differently about how we best achieve critical information security objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading and managing a team of security architects and engineers, providing guidance and mentoring, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Delivering security services built on a modern InfoSec Architecture, powered by data, automation and metrics
  • Delivering the Security Architecture roadmap to continuously improve and mature the Elastic control environment, in partnership with teams within InfoSec and across Elastic.
  • Educating and advocating - Sharing tools, guidance and repeatable methodologies that are embraced across Elastic, keeping user experience central to our thinking.

What you bring along:

  • Proven experience as a security leader in a distributed team.
  • Solid understanding of modern cloud security architecture principles, frameworks, and practices.
  • A passion for leading and partnering with fast paced engineering teams using cloud native technologies (Kubernetes, APIs, Microservices), and modern engineering practices like Infrastructure-as-Code, Compliance-as-Code, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, or FedRAMP/NIST 800-53.
  • Double Bonus points if you have the experience above in a growing SaaS company!
