As a Solutions Engineer, you will be working closely together with the sales team in their discussions with C-level executives. You will get a chance to be key member of the Cloud Sales organization, responsible for the design and architecture of Acronis platform solutions. The ideal candidate would have worked with cloud technologies or vendors, consulted or did solution sales, be passionate to understand new technologies in cloud computing and curious to explore the open source scene, and lastly, effective communication skills and a passion for customer service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work closely with the sales team as well as other business partners in articulating solutions to customer
  • Gather technical requirements, develop cost effective design and solutions, and present to customer.
  • Work with distributor /vendor and make BoM (Bill of Materials).
  • Response to tender, RFQs & RFPs.
  • Deliver presentations to customers, partners, service providers and public audiences on Acronis’ technology and solutions
  • Analyze prospective partners’ and customers’ business requirements, go to market strategy, security, audit, retention, and other policies associated with protection or transfer of the data
  • Participate in meetings as Acronis technology expert, conduct demos and pitch Acronis products and technologies throughout the sales cycle;
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer of Acronis’ solutions to customers/channel partners.
  • Upon customer's acceptance of the proposal, handover a project to post-sales engineers.

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 3 years of experience as Pre-Sales SE supporting sales and designing customer solutions based around security and cloud in Japan
  • Basic knowledge and experience on cloud area (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience in security is required
  • Endpoint Security, Network & Cloud Security is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Additional experience with AV, EDR, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, will be good to have
  • Security Certifications preferred: CISCO,(ISC)2,CompTIA, Japanese domestic certifications, etc.)
  • DB and Application experience are added advantage.
  • Strong business acumen with strong interests in keeping up-to-date with current technologies.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills (Good verbal and written communication).
  • Good team player and proactive attitude.
  • As we are a Global company and most internal communications are in English, Business level written communication and intermediate conversation skills in English will be required.
