Cruise is looking for a Senior Security Software Engineer to join our Trust & Assurance team to help Cruise build trust with regulators, investors, internal Cruise teams, and customers. In this position, you will ideate, design, and implement processes, tools, and technology to support Cruise’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will use a data driven and security first approach to drive security maturity across the organization. What you’ll be doing:You will design and implement tools to provide visibility on the operating effectiveness of security controls
You will create delightful user experiences and interactions with security
You will be analyzing and improving the security and stability of business applications and in-house systems
You will build automation to make security more accessible for end users
You will design and implement technical controls to support various security audits
Strong understanding of security controls, architecture, and implementation
4+ years experience with one or more modern programming languages (Go, Python, etc.)
Infectious enthusiasm for identifying processes that could benefit from automated solutions
First principles and data-driven approach to making incremental changes
Action oriented, analytical, troubleshooter, problem solver, motivator
You have experience with a security compliance program
Contributions to community projects (open source, public research, blogging, presentations, etc)
Experience with SQL
You have a degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or business technology
The salary range for this position is $176,800 - 260,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
