Cruise’s Security Data team consists of several engineers who develop data and backend infrastructure to defend Cruise. This leadership role maintains broad scope and impact with VP-level visibility.
Security Data serves security and privacy teams with capabilities to secure our autonomous vehicles & technology, our customers, and our employees. We are relied upon to deliver comprehensive, accurate, and timely data for both detection and response purposes.
As a senior member of our team, you will design and develop software for producing security telemetry, data pipelines to collect data in batch and realtime, and automate at all stages of the attack killchain.
We need strong software engineering talent to help Cruise scale ridehail safely. Our team has autonomy to define what we build and how we build it. We welcome and thrive on outside-the-box thinking, which we need in order to make the cyber security problem tractable.
Writing testable software using modern cloud architectures (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure)
Reviewing peer software and designs
Designing novel systems to automate and streamline Security’s defense and privacy capabilities
Exemplifying software engineering best practices and mentoring members of the team
Collaborating with blue team and red team to design novel attack behavior model
Extensive experience writing software using any modern language and technology stack (i.e Golang, Python, C++, Java, etc.)
Extensive experience with SQL for querying complex data sets
Passion to independently design and deliver software solutions to the security domain
Familiarity with Information security principles and common attack patterns
Experience with static or dynamic malware analysis
Contributions to the open source community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc)
The salary range for this position is $176,800 - 260,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
