Senior Manager, Risk & Red Team Engineering

As the Senior Manager of Risk & Red Team Engineering your team will be responsible for managing and prioritizing technical cybersecurity risk, testing the technical security controls at Wayfair and managing, maintaining, and iteratively improving our cybersecurity risk program. 

This role can expect to work closely with Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams to support Wayfair’s growth while ensuring that our stakeholders use risk as a driving component of their  teams’ overall roadmap. This person should have previous experience in offensive security, demonstrated skill in navigating discovery phases and the ability to explain Red Team initiatives to all audiences, including to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and business partners. 

What You'll Do:

  • Work with Cybersecurity teams, technology and business partners to surface validated risks and align remediation efforts to what best protects Wayfair.
  • Manage and grow the team of Technical Risk analysts and Red-Teamers 
  • Lead our risk management program, including evaluation and tracking of vendor process, and technology risk
  • Develop and prioritize strategic plans for mitigating risk based on risk assessment output, and both technical and business input
  • Plan and execute red team attack scenarios to test our staff, systems, and controls.
  • Develop and enhance red team capabilities through leadership, strategy, tool or methodology development.
  • Effectively communicate findings and risk to stakeholders and leadership

What You'll Need:

  • Experience executing or managing offensive security testing with a mix of Corporate, Application and Infrastructure security
  • Experience developing reports and deliverables that provide partners with actionable information to address security issues, translating technical concepts into language that is understood by broad technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Information Security
  • Strong organizational skills
