Senior Cyber Security Architect

We continue to move forward developing SaaS solutions and using cutting-edge cloud technologies. The Cyber Security Architect is a key role in ensuring the organization does so in a way that is secure and protected in all aspects of IT Security. This role has a wide sphere of influence, including reviews and designs for software architecture, designing and verifying network and cloud security, helping set direction on client policies and procedures throughout the organization, and building implementations that support our IT Software and Security needs. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for security and experience aligning, implementing, and testing security throughout the IT space. 

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Recommend and implement modifications to information and system security procedures and implementations, such as: account management, firewall and network management, data protection, user account management, password/key management, and vulnerability management.

  • Work closely with platform and product engineering, serving as a security expert in application development, database design, networking, and platform efforts in order to help project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

  • Perform security analysis of architectures and of third-party tools and services to determine where security threats could take advantage of vulnerable configurations.

  • Support and manage product security process activities including threat and attack tree modelling, security requirements definition, cyber test planning and penetration testing, cyber risk assessments, etc.

  • Develop and provide recommendations and actionable plans to senior leadership for proposed security initiatives and changes based on business relevance, risks, appropriate timing and complexities.

  • Monitor emerging products, technologies, and best practices that will improve security for the organization while ensuring support of everyday business.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or similar field
  • 7+ years in IT
  • 3+ years’ experience in an information security/cybersecurity capacity

  • Information security certification (CISSP, CISM, etc.)

  • Experience working with, or certification in, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)

  • Experience with security tools (SIEM, DLP, McAfee suite, etc.)

  • Knowledge of networking security and devices (firewall, VPN, VLAN, VPC, DLP, etc.)

  • Experience securing environments made up of multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, cloud)
