A Security Solutions Architect is an architect-level role focused on ensuring the best design & integration of Cohesity technology for large, enterprise customers and those with demanding use cases.  The mission of this role is to ensure the customer's technical requirements are explored, understood, and captured to ensure that the proposed architecture will meet their needs.  The requirements are translated into solutions that will be successfully implemented and that will ensure repeat business.The Security Architect is responsible for executive relationship building with customer CISOs, customer security executives, and other similar roles in customer organizations. This role will focus on evangelizing the value a Cohesity solution can bring to the customer organization as it relates to specific security frameworks that customers have implemented (NIST, ISO27001, etc). You will primarily focus on the top accounts and prospects across the Cohesity portfolio. Day to day activities range from pitching the vision and value of Cohesity, targeted talks focused on aspects of implemented frameworks, to hands-on demos of security features and integrations where Cohesity can be instrumental in protecting and remediating environments from security events.The Security Architect collaborates with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to ensure that product capabilities and messaging properly align with customer needs.

This position needs to be an expert on the core Cohesity product capabilities. Expertise in data center design and practices -- as well as data protection, distributed systems, and solutions at web scale -- are essential.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

  • Present Cohesity technology (deep dive) to customer technical leaders/experts and explain how it is applied in various use-cases/scenarios
  • Conduct discovery workshops with the customer to identify business objectives, document use cases/requirements, and operational constraints
  • Develop high-level architectural alternatives, review with customers, and deliver (written) design plans to meet the customer's needs (especially “at scale”) and includes considerations of special phases of the project (e.g. migration, operational cut-over) for Cohesity implementation teams to follow
  • Help plan and conduct technical demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs) with the account SE
  • Provide technical information for RFPs/RFIs
  • Provide technical review for all account team proposals
  • Liaison with Product Management and Engineering to represent customer/field requirements and resolve specific issues
  • Act as technical point of escalation for all architectural and design decisions
  • Ability to discuss Key Security Topics Confidently and  Relate them to Business Impact 
  • Explain key security offerings in the enterprise and how Cohesity’s offerings support, augment, integrate, and enhance the security posture of the enterprise.
  • Deep understanding of Business Value Selling and how our solution portfolios affect Risk, Cost, and Value.
  • Excellent presentation skills from CxO to mid-level executives at large customers, key strategic partners, and other industry experts
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Office of the CISO, and Technical Sales organizations.
  • Drive deep-dive discussions, stories, and demos around securing the Cohesity Data Management platform and how it is differentiated from the competition.
  • Evangelize and Educate on the benefits of the Cohesity Data Cloud as part of an organization’s broader security posture through speaking events, blogs, trade shows, etc.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS  or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • Experience in these technical areas required
    • Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Linux CLI
    • Additional experience highly desirable:
      • Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance
      • Database Protection and Recovery
      • Distributed Systems
      • Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
      • Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls
      • Scripting / Automation
      • Visio or equivalent application
  • Excellent communication and project-related skills are also required
    • Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
    • Strong written skills and the ability to create documentation
    • Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
    • The ability to work cross-functionally and run meetings to achieve a plan
    • The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline

This position has a minimum base salary starting at $120,000/year. Bonus, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity may be eligible for this position. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for benefits including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
