Security Engineer

AnaVation is looking for a talented Security Engineer who is passionate about technology and working with customers and a strong team to provide solutions for our mission-critical customer in Washington, D.C.  The ideal candidate appreciates partnering with our customer and a group of engineers to create innovative engineering solutions.  If you are looking to be challenged, then this is the environment for you!Responsibilities:·        Incident response and recovery plans·        Cyber resiliency analysis and planning·        Web application and platform security testing·        Designs monitoring and alerting capabilities for anomalous activity in ITADD systems·        Monitors platform and application for anomalous activity in systems·        Understands application critical data and vulnerability points·        Coordinates with industry partners to advise the government on security vulnerabilities and recommendations

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in software engineering, program design and implementation, configuration management, maintenance, integration testing, or information system engineering
• 5 years of experience in system security analysis and implementation; secure system engineering or design; and work in protocol and/or interface standards
• Ability to create security guides (i.e. educational materials)
• Experience with security monitoring and evaluation, including audits, assessment, and risk management (Splunk, Kibana/ElasticSearch)
• Security awareness, training, incident response and management (i.e. POA&Ms)
• Active collaboration with technical leads, developers and the client to ensure system is within FISMA compliance
• Experience with MS Office products (Excel a must)
• Understand cloud systems (AWS/Azure)
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance
