Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Endpoint Engineer - Hybrid

Within Citi, the Global Infrastructure Defense Security Engineering Team is focusing on designing, developing, testing, and architecting Citi’s next generation cyber security solutions across the globe.

In this role you will be responsible for researching, developing, and certifying security strategies and best practices specific to the SASE endpoint client, policies, ZIA health checks/ device posture checks, and solution integrations into other technologies that compose the overall architecture (such as SIEM and EDR). You will also be responsible to define and influence key security strategy initiatives and deliver security solutions that will adhere to all enterprise security requirements with a potential to influence internal roadmaps.

As the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Endpoint Engineer , you will

• Define Enterprise Cyber Security Strategies, vision, roadmap, and direction including critical products and solutions.

• Be responsible for Global Security Solutions such as Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access and Zscaler Digital Experience, and associated integrations and workflows.

• Write and publish designs, global standards, procedures, troubleshooting, and best practice guides, for the global audience.

• Define SASE global endpoint policy standards and agent package deployments.

• Integrate SASE endpoint solution with other security tooling including EDR and Splunk endpoint management logging and monitoring

• Be part of a global team defining and designing modern managed systems that leverage SaaS-based security controls.

• Call out and identify risk and exposure as it relates to products and architectures from a security and threat perspective.

• Proactively participate in enterprise security work groups and teams to come up with innovative ideas and drive them to execution.

• Influence a virtual global team, act as a senior subject matter expert for subject security technologies and disciplines.

Ideal background

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role

• Experience working in a large, complex and/or global enterprise utilizing a SASE platform (Zscaler (preferred), Netskope, Palo Alto or similar market leader)

• Proven strong knowledge of Cyber Security solutions and products focusing on Cloud, CASB and SASE

• Thorough understanding of industry and corporate technology standards for Cyber Security services

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and work with cross functional teams to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences (strong technical writing skills)

• Zscaler (or equivalent) API experience and custom reporting

• Hands-on experience in Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Private Access, and Zscaler Digital Experience (or similar)

• Strong knowledge of host firewalls, device posture checking, and proxy rules
