The Team:

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is responsible for looking after the cyber security of all of Citi’s technical assets, and has a number of new and exciting programmes while utilize cutting edge cloud and container technologies with a view to ensuring that our cyber security is best in class, and offers reassurance to our wider business lines and clients alike.

The job:

This role sits within the Secrets Engineering team, which is responsible for implementing secure Vault solutions that provides a world class Secrets Management platform. You will be enabling different feature sets of Vault while paving the path for Secure Secrets introduction, solving Secret Zero problems as well as reducing friction for developers in their daily development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain HashiCorp Vault Infrastructure across multiple regions
  • Spearhead the architecture and implementation of Vault Upgrade process automation through configuration management tooling
  • Leading and paving the path for cloud adoption patterns for HashiCorp Vault
  • Contribute to design, development, test, and operational excellence of the HashiCorp Vault Service Layer
  • Playing a key role as part of the team implementing software engineering patterns for secure secrets consumption
  • Understanding current secrets offerings and integration points with k8s platforms hosted on cloud and classic on-prem infrastructure
  • Translating business requirements to technical development plans for execution
  • Building automation workflows using the heterogenous pool of CI/CD tooling
  • Working with AWS, GCP services and HashiCorp where needed
  • Partnering with centralized platform teams, DevOps teams, SecOps teams and the developer community in tackling tough design and engineering problems

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Configuration management tools like Ansible/Chef and Terraform is a must
  • Experience designing or consuming HashiCorp Vault solutions is highly desired
  • Experience in Python, Go or Java, and associated tooling (Git, Maven, IDE’s, Jenkins, Bitbucket etc) is a big plus
  • Knowledge of security best practices in relationship to Secrets management a bonus
  • Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes control plane is desired
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and agile methodologies
  • Good working experience and understanding in the domains of Linux and networking

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
