You won’t regret it.As a Principal Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be joining our exciting and highly visible Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) team. CCOE is a focal point of the transformation efforts for our service transformation. You will enable the transformation of our client cloud adoption and operational practices. This position must have a strong understanding of cloud services and be able to work with a team of cross-functional application developers, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists to promote cloud-first architecture and implementations. You will also be responsible for leading our Cloud Technology team to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, participating in various cloud enablement and advocacy activities, and coaching associates on various deployment models of Cloud. You will focus on solution design, information governance and security challenges associated with public cloud deployments. You will work with stakeholders, sales, project teams, client teams and others as required to successfully scope, size, design, quote, build and install solutions. You will understand the competitive landscape, review technical requirements, key success requirements and define necessary steps to complete sales timelines and customer objectives. You will lead or assist in technically complex solution deployments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide leadership and oversight with your strong understanding of Cloud services, orchestration and automation toolsets and platforms including compute, storage, networking, Security, Azure, Kubernetes, service mesh, as well as monitoring and logging technologies.
• Define and drive orchestration and automation of Cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, self-service, Infrastructure-as-Code services, Auto Scale initiatives, and drive cloud strategy to move towards PaaS, and SaaS models.
• Define and document standards and best practices by conducting POCs for new cloud technologies and client environment validation.
• Develop security baselines and standards for Azure resources including Network access, Restriction of Internet-facing resource provision and configuration within the Azure environment.
• Optimizing solution architectures to manage costs and identify cost control mechanisms.
• Provide expertise and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both infrastructure and applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Work with client application teams with their digital transformation goals and provide Azure resource deployment orchestration, automation, security, and configuration expertise.
• Work with Solutions team to draft and institutionalize cloud security standards, reference architecture’s, patterns, and guidelines for both cloud-native development and migrations.
• Lead and implement all aspects of a cloud migration initiative, including its impact on infrastructure, networks, and security.
• Work with the IT Security Team, Solution Engineers, Solution Architects, and Cloud Technology Team with any security-related issues that arise.
• Develop, maintain, and drive a continuous improvement culture within Cloud Technology team and its partners.
• Establish a continuous improvement plan for Cloud implementation and support to deliver On time, On budget and Elated client satisfaction results.
• Perform Cloud technology implementations and escalation support for Marco cloud engineers.
• Develop formalized technical training to support expansion of the cloud team.
• Work with Solutions Team to develop Sales, Design, Demonstration and Implementation strategies and consistencies.
• Performs solution implementations and day 2 support for clients and escalation support for Marco cloud Attend required company and departmental trainings and meetings.
• Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience or equivalent experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current industry recognized “Expert” level certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance and an acceptable driving record.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrated ability to architect systems and configurations in the designated practice.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure (corresponding GCP or AWS experience is also acceptable for required qualifications)
• 3 years of proven experience in PaaS services such as Azure AppService, Azure Kubernetes services, AWS Bean Stalk, GCP App Engine etc.
• 3 years of proven experience with public cloud database services such as Azure SQL
• 3 years of experience with public cloud network infrastructure such as VNETs, subnets, Network Security Groups, route tables, VPC, DNS etc.
• 2 years of proven experience in public cloud security and monitoring tools such as Azure AD, Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, Azure Policies, Identity Platform, Azure Monitoring, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, Network Intelligence center, etc.
• Experience in designing and implementing applications using PaaS Services in a Cloud/Hybrid Cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience writing scripts in PowerShell or Azure CLI or respective CLI for the cloud provider
• Hands-on experience writing cloud resource and security policies
• Hands-on experience migrating application workloads to the cloud
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
