Director, Product Security

Snyk is looking for a Director of Product Security to join our team. We are building out a world class Security function within Snyk’s global Information Security team to support the company’s rapid growth. You will partner closely with the R&D teams to provide security education, solutions, testing, and overall implementation partnership. You will lead a group of engineers focused on all aspects of product development and ensuring security of our consumer-facing applications. 

You'll spend your time: 

• Building innovative solutions that extend Snyk’s security capabilities
• Developing a security-first strategy and vision in partnership with R&D
• Tracking Security KPIs vigorously for accountability and visibility across Snyk teams
• Working with information security, GRC, operations and R&D ensuring security is at the heart of everything we build 
• Developing and investing in a first-class Product Security team and transparent, inclusive guild to find and engage stakeholders from every department
• Building and monitoring the ‘paved road’ that delivers a frictionless experience, allowing all of our delivery teams to work in a secure manner by default
• Defining and driving strategy and delivery of application and Cloud security across a highly DevSecOps oriented, multi-Cloud, SaaS-first environment
• Collaborating with our Engineering, Research, Infrastructure and Corporate IT leaders to rapidly and fundamentally transform the security posture of the business
• Creating and evangelizing a best-in-breed, full-stack SDLC governance program
• Representing Snyk in the DevSecOps and appsec/cloudsec community 

You should apply if you have:

• 7+ years of experience working in security teams, and have led globally distributed teams of at least 10+ engineers 
• The ability to articulate security as a business enabler
• Have experience with M&A activities, including post-merger integration of security-focused teams and systems
• Have extensive experience and a genuine passion for building and running cutting-edge AppSec and CloudSec programmes and teams
• Are a compassionate, people-oriented leader who knows how to get the best from teams, sustainably, and are motivated by enabling the success of those around you
• Understand the value of automation, orchestration and scalability in a hyper-growth technology business
• Are happy to travel once a quarter to spend time working face-to-face with other colleagues that aren’t co-located with you, as well as building strong online relationships when travel isn’t feasible or necessary
• Have excellent presentation skills, with experience presenting to top executives
