DevOps & Security Engineer, Fintech

We are seeking for enthusiastic professionals, with energy, who are results driven and have can-do attitude, who want to be part of a team of likeminded individuals who are delivering solutions in an innovative and exciting environment.As member of the Systems Engineering team in Optasia, you will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.

What you will do

• Strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle and methodology
• Very good communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to handle and drive demanding situations under pressure
• Cooperation with other teams in planning, testing and verification activities
• Familiarity with Wazuh and Ansible
• Unix/Linux operating systems
• Bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla etc.)

What you will bring

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field will be considered a plus
• Strong hands-on technical infrastructure skills on Servers (Linux)
• Linux security hardening knowledge
• Experience on working with virtualization technologies (VMWare)
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skills and team working mentality
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgment and problem solving skills
• Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and creative environment
• Hard working attitude and willingness to commit on projects
• Pro-activeness, accountability and results orientation
• The following will be considered as a plus:Nagios and NagiosXI Knowledge, Jira and Confluence Knowledge, Ansible Playbook
